Your Barnabas Church Mentoring Group (8 to 12 churches) will battle the white water together as you navigator the world of Very Large Churches!
Your learning experiences will include these unique programs:
Senior Pastors and Board Chairs Together:
Quarterly Kick-off Forum. Senior pastors will join board chairs at this first three-hour forum (a Tuesday evening), hosted by a participating church.
Annual Board Refresher Day. Senior pastors, board chairs, plus all board members and senior team members are included in this practical and inspiring board training day (a Saturday).
Senior Pastors Together:
Senior Pastor Mentoring Group. These nine sessions, on the third Thursday of the month from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., will be hosted by a different participating church each month.
Board Chairs Together:
Quarterly Forum. This includes four quarterly sessions, three hours each, on Tuesday evenings at a participating church. (The first kick-off session, see above, includes senior pastors.)
Customized Consulting for Each Church
Senior Pastor Coaching Calls. These nine individual one-hour phone calls between the senior pastor and the Barnabas Mentor will focus on the senior pastor’s agenda.
Board Chair Coaching Calls. Each board chair will have nine individual one-hour phone calls with the Barnabas Mentor, addressing the board chair’s unique agenda.
Customized Consulting: 2 Days or 4 Half-Days. Based on the church’s needs, the Barnabas Mentor will provide a menu of consulting options that could include: board training and consulting, leadership team mentoring, staff retreats, strategic planning, problem solving, and/or individual coaching. The consulting could include two back-to-back days, two single days, or four half-days over the one-year period of the program.

Very Large Churches Resources. Participating churches will receive cutting edge resources, books, articles and materials specifically selected for Very Large Churches by the national advisory team of experts.
One-Year Commitment
Churches selected for a Barnabas Church Mentoring Group come from a convenient geographical range and agree to a one-year commitment for both the senior pastor and the board chair. Both individuals will also commit to attending their respective sessions and forums. Each church will also host and provide lunch for one Senior Pastor Mentoring Group session.
